Hunt Club donates money to Special Care Baby Unit

TYNAN and Armagh Hunt Club have donated £1,000 to the Special Care Baby Unit at Daisy Hill Hospital.

This generous sum was raised through a Children’s Meet held on New Year’s Day organised by Hunt Whip, Andrew Phillips and family who decided to raise the money after their now healthy four year old daughter Beth was cared for in the Unit when she was born six weeks early.

Tynan and Armagh Hunt Club and the Phillip’s family would like to thank everyone who participated on the day, especially the local landowners and the Normandy Inn, Richhill without whose help the event would not have been possible.

The donation will be used towards buying a specialised mattress for the Unit which helps small babies move from an incubator to a cot more quickly when they are well enough.
