Man struck by bottle thrown from car

A BOTTLE thrown from a passing car struck a man in the face at Upperlands, according to police.

The incident happened as the 20-year-old walked along the Kilrea Road at The Beeches around 2.10am on Sunday, January 20.

The victim was treated in hospital for injuries to his face.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or saw a gold coloured car in the area, is asked to contact police at Magherafelt on 0845 600 8000 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
