McCrea congratulates award winning car apprentice

MID-ULSTER DUP MLA Ian McCrea has expressed his congratulations to Cookstown’s Gary Greer.

The car painting apprentice not only made the Northern Ireland Squad UK, but has won gold at the Skills Show in Birmingham.

“I want to congratulate Gary on this marvellous achievement of winning the Gold medal in the Automotive Painting Section at this year’s Skills Show in Birmingham,” he said.

“Not only has Gary won gold but he now is in contention to represent Team UK at the next WorldSkills competition in Leipzig, Germany in July 2013.

“Gary will compete for a place in Team UK at further selection events which will be held throughout the UK in March 2013.

Mr McCrea added: “I wish Gary every success as he battles it out to reach Germany and I have every faith he will do Mid Ulster and indeed Northern Ireland proud.”
