WOMEN in Business NI has appointed a Mid-Ulster ambassador to build its network across Northern Ireland.

Jacqueline McGonigle of www.whatsonni.com will is one of three regional business women to be appointed by the group.

Jacqueline, who lives in Upperlands, is married to Nigel and is a mum-of-three.

She established the popular www.whatsonni.com in 2009 and has been a member of Women in Business NI for three years.

The 44 year-old will join Claire Bain of Next Steps, Newry, Jacqueline McGonigle and business mentor Seline McElhatton in the North West of the Province to help promote Women in Business.

Speaking about Jacqueline’s appointment, Roseann Kelly, Chief Executive of Women in Business NI, said: “Our membership is currently almost 1,000 across Northern Ireland but in order to build on that, and continue to be the largest and fastest growing business network for female entrepreneurs and business leaders here, we wanted to establish grass roots networking opportunities for women at a local level across the country.

“Our members have expressed that we extend the delivery of our services at a regional level and we want to encourage local growth and innovation with the express aim of collaboration with businesses at a regional level, growing our membership and our members businesses significantly in 2013.”

Roseann added: “The ambassadors are all enthusiastic members of Women in Business NI and are responsible for promoting the aims and services of the organisation to drive recruitment of new regional members, support our ever growing regional events programme and offer exclusive and invaluable networking opportunities to new and existing members.”

The first Mid Ulster event will be held at The Inn, Castledawson, on Thursday 14 February.

Guests attending the Business Networking Lunch will hear from Treat Ticket’s Mary McCall.
