Neighbours to clash in Intermediate Semi

ERRIGAL Ciaran will take on old adversaries Carrickmore in the semi final of the Tyrone Senior Championship.

Defending champions Dromore will meet surprise last four opponents Killyclogher.

Errigal booked their passage with a hard earned three point victory over Omagh in Carricmore, 1-10 to 2-4.

A full house in Pomeroy on Saturday evening witnessed a superb performance from Carrickmore as they knocked out the previously unbeaten Coalisland by four point.

The draw for the last four of the Intermediate Championship has thrown up a derby encounter as Cookstown take it Rock.

The Rock emerged victrious when the teams met in the league earlier in the season, a rare setback for the Fr Rocks.

Indeed, Cookstown are on the verge of securing the Intermediate League title and the former All Ireland Intermediate Champions will not want to suffer a second defeat at the hands of their neighbours.

Eskra must wait to find out who they will take on in the last four as Galbally and Gortin must meet again following their draw on Friday night.

Meanwhile, the pairing for the final of the 2012 Junior Championship has been sorted.

Brackaville Owen Roes, the only unbeaten team in Tyrone in 2012, will meet Aghaloo in the decider.

The Roes saw off the challenge of Brocagh in Pomeroy on Saturday evening while the men from the border town held their nerve before edging past Glenelly.

Dates and venue are not available at the time of going to Press.

Meanwhile, officials of the Tyrone County Board met at the weekend to discuss the appearance of Ruairi Sludden in Dromore’s win over Ardboe in the quarter final of the Senior Championship.

No official confirmation as to the outcome of the meeting but it is believed that the Dromore Club has had a fine imposed.
