New Quad-X Bedding & Hedgecutting Machinery at the Fintona show
ANOTHER New Year, another Show... must mean it’s time for local manufacturer Quad-X to launch yet more new models.
At the upcoming Fintona Show, Quad-X will display a wide range of both ATV and tractor machinery including the new Compact 450s hedgecutter, designed with farmers in mind and the CB1500 Cubicle Bedder.
With dairy farmers facing the daily task of keeping their cows comfortable, clean and healthy, Quad-X have added the latest model to their Cubicle Bedder range, the CB1500. This versatile machine allows you to bed your cubicles quickly and easily, to control bacteria and mastitis which can multiply rapidly in warm damp conditions, and prevent discarded milk, and costly medication and vet charges.
It throws bedding material further than any other model on the market easily reaching the far end of the cubicle. It is designed to meet the need of large scale double rowed cubicles, allowing you to spread into the centre of cubicles to store bedding material that can be used for bedding between spreads. Speak to the Quad-X team at their stand to arrange a demonstration.
The CB1500 spreads an even layer of bedding with the ability to handle sawdust, wood shavings, lime, sand or chopped straw. With our climate resulting in a lot of warm wet weather, bedding lime is becoming an important addition to the daily bedding routine to absorb moisture and reduce bacteria.
The Quad-X Cubicle Bedder is a self-loading, hydraulically driven machine that couples conveniently to any standard front or rear 3 point linkage, telehandler or loader. Manoeuvrability is not an issue with working widths from as little as 5ft. With reversible drive on the discharge conveyor, both sides can be covered without having to turn your tractor. For speed of use, the CB1500 can be tipped forward on a rotating linkage to load from a pile of bedding and then brought back to the upright position, ready to spread.
The Quad-X Cubicle Bedder will reduce your bedding material usage by as much as 50% compared to manual bedding, by evenly distributing the material exactly where you want it, saving money. It has been designed to reduce labour time with 300 cubicles being covered in an impressive 15mins. With cubicle bedding a daily task, the savings in your time by using this machine is massive.
Quad-X are set to launch the Compact 450s hedgecutter, a model developed to meet the needs of farmers for annual hedgecutting duties, maintaining laneways and field and boundary hedges. You’ll be surprised at how affordable this hedgecutter is and equally impressed by its capabilities. Speak to the Quad-X team at their stand to arrange a demonstration.
With hedgecutters to suit tractors from 20hp, and various cutting head widths and hydraulic power, the Quad-X range is suitable not only for any farmer but also apt for contractors or amenities use. You can choose the arm reach, with 7 options ranging from 3m to 6.5m. Numerous arm options are available to help with certain tasks.
All flail heads are fitted with dual rotor rotation as standard for upward and downward cutting. Quad-X’s vast experience in rotor design ensures the Quad-X hedgecutters offer the highest rotor speed, for a better cut and improved efficiency, saving time and fuel.
If you are considering investing in machinery or upgrading, be sure to visit the Quad-X stand H924, at the Fintona Show, 22nd -24th January where they will be pleased to show you around the machines on display, discuss your requirements and arrange a demonstration.
