New steps at camp site

THE construction of extra steps at a camp site along the Blackwater River is to cost £3,220, Dungannon Council has heard.

A council sub-committee was told there was also a requirement for a new site for the Blackwater Canoe camping facility to be resurveyed.

The new steps will provide a greater range of usage at various water levels, which will be an advantage given the nature of the river, the meeting was told.

It was agreed that the additional costs as sought be granted.
