Staff member assaulted at takeaway

A STAFF member suffered facial injuries after being assaulted by a group of males at a fast food outlet in Bellaghy.

The incident happened after the staff member approached the group when they had caused damage to a gaming machine on the premises at Main Street.

The altercation then carried on in the street where the staff member was assaulted a second time. The group of males made off before the arrival of police.

Police say the incident happened around 1.50am on Sunday, December 23.

Police would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them in Magherafelt on 0845 600 8000.
