State of the art Gym coming to Clonoe

THE Gym facilities at Clonoe Community Centre are about to undergo a major face lift and refurbishment with the news that leading fitness company Competition Line are carrying out a £500,000 redevelopment of the gym area.
Competition Line are a market leader in providing the public sector with state-of-the-art fitness facilities under the brand name of Lifestyle Fitness and along with Clonoe Community Centre have got into a partnership agreement to redesign the gym.
Clonoe Rural Development Agency (Clonoe Community Centre) made contact with Competition Line in July 2011.
Competition Line usually do not usually go into partnerships with any other type of establishments other than Public bodies like Council facilities.
But Clonoe Community Centre have broken the mould becoming the first of it’s kind.
The Community Centre committee invited the company over to have a look at the facilities and persuaded them to enter into an agreement. After very tough negotiations which lasted a year and a half, between Mr Gordon Hall Competition Line’s UK Director and Seamus O’Neill Director of Clonoe Rural Development Agency, agreement was reached. The two parties signed a contract in December 2012 for 20 years partnership.
The new gym will feature Fully Air-conditioned changing rooms, Gym and Studio; an extensive range of Techno gym CV equipment; Concept II Rowers and an extensive range of Gym 80 strength equipment.
Architects for the building project are John Taylor Architects Ltd, Co. Durham, and the construction work will be carried out by P&L Electrics Ltd. Aghanloo Industrial Estate, Limavady, Co. Derry,
The refurbishment of the gym facilities is expected to be completed in the 1st week in May 2013.
