Will contest assault charges

A 19-YEAR-OLD Cookstown man, accused of assaulting three people in a snooker club, will contest the charges against him in October.

Christopher Patrick Colton, from Killymoon Crescent, also stands charged with disorderly behaviour and criminal damage of a pool cue on Burn Road.

All the charges relate to an incident which is alleged to have taken place on January 19.

District Judge Bernadette Kelly fixed contest for October 18 before adjourning the case until October 3.
