Work is nearing completion on two new play parks for the Lisnahull and Ballysaggart housing estates in Dungannon.

Contractors have been replacing the old play equipment over recent weeks at both parks.

People living in the housing developments are eagerly awaiting the opening of the new facilities which, it is anticipated, will take place within the next few weeks.

The play parks, situated in two of the town’s biggest housing estates, have been in need of upgrade for many years.

Meanwhile, a number of family trips have been arranged for the summer holidays by the Ballysaggart Community Association. Trips will take place to Aunt Sandra’s Sweet Factory on 3 July. Price £5 per person includes transport and entrance fee; Tayto Park 11 August, £8 per person for transport and entrance fee; Bundoran 14 August £5 per person.

Community group members are hoping as many people as possible will avail of the events and bookings can be made at An Seansiopa Community Centre in Lisnahull.
