Police appeal after car stolen in Tyrone recovered from the Republic

Police in Dungannon are appealing for witnesses to the theft of a car in Aughnacloy, that was later recovered in the Republic of Ireland.

Speaking about the crime, PC Wills said: “We are investigating a report of the theft of a silver Peugeot 406 from the Monaghan Road area of Aughnacloy sometime between 8pm on December 19 and shortly after midnight on December 20.

“The vehicle was later located in the Republic of Ireland, however, we are keen to speak to anyone who can identify the driver. “Anyone who can help Police with their enquiries is asked to contact them on the 101 number, quoting reference number 71214. Alternatively information can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.”
