Contractors will break ground next week (November 9) on the multi-million pound public realm scheme in Dungannon.
The works signal the beginning of the second phase of investment in the town centre around Scotch Street, Scotch Street Centre, Georges Street, William Street, Ann Street, Thomas Street, Perry Street and Northland Row.

The improvements to paving, lighting, street furniture, signage and planting are being funded by the Department for Social Development (DSD) and Mid Ulster District Council, and the contractor is Lagan Construction Group.
Speaking ahead of the scheme start, Chair of the Council, Councillor Linda Dillon, said: “I’m pleased that the scheme to deliver a second round of improvements to the town centre is getting underway and look forward to seeing the results enhance Dungannon’s appeal as a place to shop and visit.
“We remain committed to ensuring that the work goes as smoothly as possible, with minimal disruption to the routine and business of our town centre, traders and customers, and will continue to liaise with local people as the scheme progresses”.
