A Tyrone village has been left in shock over the sudden death of a popular young businesswoman.

Leanne Dunlop died on Sunday at her home on the Bockets Road, Ballygawley

The cause of death for the 28-year-old, who owned LD Pet Supplies in the village, has not been confirmed.

Locals said the young businesswoman had recently complained of health problems and had sought medical advice.

Wills Robinson, a DUP councillor from the Ballygawley area, said her sudden death had shocked the community.

“It is always very tragic when somebody so young dies in such sudden circumstances. It is very sad for the family,” he said.

“Certainly I would send my prayers and condolences to the family at this time.”

Ms Dunlop opened her pet supplies store some years ago where her father-in-law had previously operated a furniture business.

Friends and relatives have expressed their condolences on social media websites.

Poignant images on her LD Pet Supplies Facebook page show happy customers and Ms Dunlop being involved in pet events at the Clogher Valley Show.

Ms Dunlop is survived by her husband Alan, parents Gordon and Jacqueline Wylie, and sisters Julie and Gemma.

Funeral arrangements are to be announced at a later date.
