There is plenty going on in the Square Box at Hill of The O’Neill and Ranfurly House, Market Square, Dungannon, this month.

Quirky musicians Wookalily will be coming to the local venue on Friday September 9 at 8pm.

Made up of Adele, Sharon, Lyndsay, Lou, and Clair, Wookalily offer folk-gothic troubadour tales, new-time mountain music, glorious melodic hooks and a drum kit which guarantees purists cover their ears.

The music continues on Friday September 23 with the Cathal Hayden CD Launch Tour ‘Hooked on Banjo’. He will be joined by special guest Seamie O’Dowd.

There are also a host of talks and classes on offer at The O’Neill and Ranfuyly House, including a course on tracing your family tree.

Beginning on Monday September 19 with tutor Roddy Hegarty, this is a five week course in which you can take a journey into your family’s past.

Roddy will help you to get started on your own research, from drawing up your family tree to exploring the archives.
