A CLONMORE man who was clocked at twice the speed limit, was rushing to collect a child from school, Dungannon Magistrates Court has heard.

A lawyer for Gerard Martin McKeown, 56, from Clonmore Road, entered a plea of guilty to the charge of excess speed when the case was listed at Dungannon Magistrates Court.

Police detected McKeown at a speed of 63mph on the Trewmount Road, Killyman, on April 29.
