Ian McCrea voiced his sympathy to the families of Leslie Dallas, Austin Nelson and Ernie Rankin who were brutally murdered in Coagh 25 years ago this Friday and has called for focus to be firmly fixed on innocent victims rather than republican terrorists.
The DUP assembly member said: “This Friday will mark the 25 year anniversary of the brutal murders of Leslie Dallas, Austin Nelson and Ernie Rankin, who were gunned down by IRA cowards in Coagh.
“I want to once again offer my deepest sympathies to the families and assure them off my utmost support for justice.
“These three innocent men were going about their business, when without warning they were fired upon by cowardly IRA scum.
“The families 25 years on still await justice and it is high time that the focus was removed from republican terrorists and placed firmly on the innocent victims of the troubles.”
