Donnelly Group spearheaded a fundraising campaign which raised £10,750 for Special Olympics Ulster.
The campaign saw employees, local businesses and schools as well as suppliers and customers donate to the charity which offers training and competitive sporting events in a total of 14 sports to those with an intellectual disability.
Employees throughout Donnelly Group took part in a day-long Spin-athon, bag packing at the local supermarket and even held a cake sale in the showroom. Regional Director of Special Olympics Ulster, Shaun Cassidy said: “We are so impressed with the dedication and support Donnelly Group has shown to fundraising on our behalf.
“It is thanks to their hard work and the generosity of their staff and customers, that such a huge amount was raised. The money donated will help support over 2,000 of our Special Olympic athletes in Ulster and will go towards funding year-round activities in the 91 clubs across the region.
“We are very grateful to all those at the Donnelly Group who have participated in fundraising activities and I would like to thank them for all the support and kindness they have shown to the charity and our athletes.”
