TWO local mums have been shortlisted for a prestigious awards ceremony to find SuperValu’s SuperMum.
Coalisland winner, Fiona Brown, was nominated for the care and support she has provided to her five year-old daughter Ellie Louise through her treatment and battle with leukaemia over the past two years and raising awareness and funds for the childhood cancer.
Fiona will now go on to attend the celebration event at Stormont on October 1.
She has been joined on the list of finalists by Tina Wilson from Ballygawley, who was nominated by her husband David for her hard work in raising four children, three of which are under two years, despite suffering from Cerebral Palsy and being profoundly deaf.
The grand final will be hosted by TV personality Claire McCollum who will crown the overall SuperValu SuperMum 2014 and the winner will take home a family holiday to Malaga, courtesy of Jet2.com, with each finalist receiving a pamper hamper.
Donna Morrison, Marketing Manager of SuperValu, said: “The standard of entry for the SuperMums competition was overwhelming. There are so many inspirational mothers out there taking life’s challenges, opportunities and issues in their stride and the people who nominated them gave us so much to think about when it came to choosing them as our finalists.”
