Sean Hackett sentenced for father’s manslaughter

Augher teenager Sean Hackett has been sentenced to minimum prison sentence of 10 years for the manslaughter of his father Aloysius last year.

Sean Hackett, was accquited of murder at Dungannon Crown Court last month but found guilty of manslaughter by reason of ‘diminished responsibility’.

Aloysius (Wishie) was shot twice in the head, in the driveway of their Aghindarragh Road family home in Augher on January 4 last year.

Ronan Mulrine, of Dunroe Road, Augher who supplied the weapon, was sentenced to one year in custody suspended for 2 years.
