THE Hills will be alive with the sound of music on Tuesday, September 24 at 8pm at Festive Hill, Dungannon, when Paul Hughes and his guests provide a night of music and song to suit all ages, in aid of local Charity Cancer Choices.
Paul, a gifted songwriter, singer and guitarist has showcased his talents from the early age of 16, to very positive acclaim. He is comfortable in all genres of music from Gospel, modern, ballad and alternative rock. He is well known as the lead singer and guitarist with his band Top Floor who will accompany him on the night. He is a leader and musician with the Omagh Community Youth Choir, and also sings with the Omagh Waterford Peace Choir and has toured extensively with both choirs.
He played to a capacity crowd at his debut concert in the Bardic and recently launched his debut single ‘Be With Me’.
Also appearing on the night is the local Bella Voce Youth choir under the direction of David Thompson. This very talented group of young people from the Dungannon area have an amazing repertoire of music and song.
Also featured is Bronagh Broderick a singer songwriter from Ballygawley. She released her first album ‘Three years’ at the age of 18, and recently won the Irish Youth Music Award for Best Singer-Songwriter.
Special Guest artist on the night is Daryl Simpson, one of the Celtic Tenors who played to a full house at last year’s Festive Hill. Daryl formed the Omagh Community Youth Choir in 1998 in the aftermath of the Omagh Bomb Tragedy, which has gone on to achieve unprecedented success .
The concert is a fundraiser in aid of Cancer Choices, an independent patient lead self-help group which supports approximately 2000 people per year living with cancer.
