Video: Plea to donate toys in Cookstown for Christmas

THERE is always a significant demand from struggling parents in Cookstown for toys donated to the annual appeal run by St Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army.

And each year the Christmas Toy Appeal, supported by BBC NI, distributes gifts to families in the district earmarked by health visitors and social services as being particularly in need.

Regional President, Aidan Crawford from SVP said the charity links with as many local shops as they can who act as collection points and this year toys and gifts can be left at Tesco, First Trust Bank, Gordon’s Chemist, Open and Direct and the St Vincent de Paul Charity shop, as well as Dungannon Leisure Centre.
