Watch: Mentalist David Meade read our reporter’s mind

Popular mind-reader David Meade popped into the Mid-Ulster Mail offices this week ahead of his show at the Burnavon Theatre next month to showcase just a little of what he can do.

Meade left staff members astounded when he performed a series of ‘tricks of the mind’ and left leaving everyone scratching their heads and wondering just how does he do it?

Speaking about his upcoming show in Cookstown, David told the MAIL just what audience members can expect on February 6,

“This is my first time ever bringing the show to Cookstown and I am really looking forward to it. The great thing about the show is that it is really interactive and it is good fun.

“If you haven’t seen the live show before a lot of people think ‘is he going to be talking to the dead?’ or things like that but it’s nothing like that it is really great craic,” he said

“This tour is great because we are giving people the opportunity to win £1000. So in the show, we hand out five boxes with five sums of money, a bit like Deal or no Deal and one of them has £1000 in it. This is a genuine competition so there isn’t a trick to it as such. I am not near any of the boxes when they are being picked and sealed, then when they are given out my job is to work out who in the audience is hiding the £1000 and if I can’t work it out then they get to keep the £1000!”

“Every show is different though because it becomes about the town and I get to know the audience really well, no-one is ever embarrassed or made fun of. It is all about the fun,” David added.

There are still a few remaining tickets left for David’s show in the Burnavon, Cookstown on February 6, this is a show not to be missed. For booking contact the Burnavon on: 028 8676 9949 or book online at http://www.burnavon.com/theatre/whats-on/David-Meade--Mindreader/info
