Wedding bells are set to ring today, Friday, for a Coalisland mum who is seriously ill with cancer.

Hundreds of people have sent good wishes to Lisa Toner and her groom Noel Watt ahead of their ceremony after Lisa announced their plans on social media.

The mum of three, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer shortly after the birth of her youngest child, told her many friends and supporters last night: “This time tomoro we wil be hoolying away as mr and Mrs watt..... Can’t wait.”

Lisa launched a fundraising campaign some months ago to find the money to travel to California for potentially life saving treatment.

A Go Fund Me website set up by the brave young woman generated well over £20,000 for Lisa and people living in the Tyrone and Mid Ulster areas took her plight to their hearts.

And the news of Lisa and Noel’s wedding today has brought great joy to those who know and love the couple, with one friend posting: “Every woman dreams of their big day and this is your moment.....good luck for tomorrow & I’m sure you will be smiling from morning to night, enjoy your dream for Noel has made it a reality!”

Another sent this message of support to the beautiful bride-to-be: “Brilliant news Lisa!!! Best of luck for your big day! Nobody deserves a big hooley as much as you and your family”
