Awards success for Coalisland Order of Malta

Cadets from the Coalisland unit of the Order of Malta achieved great success recently when they entered the Regional First Aid competition.

The 8 Cadets aged 10 – 14 years from Coalisland and surrounding areas, after only 11 weeks of training achieved great success, winning: 1st in Junior Individual Boy, 2nd in Junior First Aid team and 1st in Senior Cadet 2 Person Team.

This is the first time in 20 years that Order of Malta Coalisland have been involved in the competition and they will now be represented at the Order of Malta Ireland ‘Cadet All Ireland’ competitions due to be held at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth Campus on 27th– 29th June.

The Cadets were trained by Stephen Wilson and assisted by Cadet Unit Leader Natalie Gervin.

Coalisland Unit would like to extend congratulations also to the Omagh and Armagh Cadets and their leaders

for their amazing performance at these Regional Competitions and further extend their gratitude to Angela

McGoldrick, Cadet Liaison Officer Northern Region for her outstanding planning and organising of this event.
