A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE.....
Include image
  • We are a weekly paper based in Dungannon, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland.
  • Reaching out to an audience of over 35,000 every week, our strength lies within the local community and we are immensely proud of the fact that our newspaper is community driven by delivering local news, voicing local issues and promoting local business.
  • The Tyrone Times & Dungannon Gazette was first published on April 22, 1994 under editor, Lindsay Kilpatrick.
  • In the foreward of the first issue he wrote: "The Tyrone Times is here to serve the entire community and our aim is to accurately reflect what is happening in the area, fight the causes and air your views." Those principles remain with us to this very day and will continue for the many weeks, months, years and decades to come.
  • Our journalists are all locally based which means that they have their finger on the pulse twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
  • The Tyrone Times staff are out on the streets of our towns and villages, getting your views on the issues that really matter.
