U12 NIBFA Cup quarter final

GLENAVON 1 MAGHERAFELT SKY BLUES 0

Magherafelt Sky Blues bowed out of the NIBFA Cup with a 1-0 defeat to Glenavon.

The Blues were on top for long periods of the match and could have took the lead twice in the first half but a Michael McKay shot and a Michael Mulholland header both hit the woodwork. Glenavon scored the only goal of the game early in the second half.

A shot from just inside the box flew into the bottom left corner of the Sky Blues net.

The Blues man of the match Lorcan Bradley was in great form but Glenavon dealt with everything that Magherafelt threw at them.

This was a great performance by the Blues but on this occasion they couldn’t get the goals they needed. All involved should be very proud of their achievements in another good cup run this year.

Magherafelt Sky Blues U10 faced Ballymoney today and came home 4-2 winners.

They could have scored more but found the opposition goalkeeper in excellent form.

Everyone played well with some impressive linking and passing the highlight of the performance.

Sky Blues: Kyan Cassidy, Tom Pitts ,Jack Harney, Jude Mulholland, Jack Fay , Conall Higgins , Karl Campbell, Vance.
