Feile champions Dungannon secured the second leg of a possible treble when they produced a superb second half display to beat Carrickmore by 3-14 to 1-7 at Dunmoyle to claim the grade one U14 Championship title.

Carrickmore took the lead when a long range free from Daniel Fullerton sailed all the way to the net in the eighth minute but the Clarkes hit back to level thanks to points from Cormac Hughes and SP McKernan. Fullerton and Hughes exchanged points before Ciaran Maguire left Carrickmore leading 1-4 to 0-6 at halftime.

Dungannon assumed control in the second half with a power packed display. Sean Cowan levelled matters before Carrickmore keeper Aaron McGurk tipped a Conall Devlin pile driver over the bar.

Hughes and McKernan added points and when Patrick McKearney finished to the net at the second time of asking after his initial shot had come back off the bar they never looked back.

Cowan and Kevin Barker added further goals and while Fullerton got a couple of points for Carrickmore it was only academic at that stage.
