Excitement is growing about the ‘Progging the Orchard’ GAA talk night on Thursday, June 7 - just three days before Tyrone set out on the trail of more championship glory, writes Seamus Donnelly.

With our big show in the Craic Theatre, Coalisland now rapidly approaching and debate gaining momentum we’re giving you the chance to get your questions for the panel of guests in early.

Coming so soon before Tyrone travel the short distance to the Cathedral city to take on one of their biggest rivals, Armagh, the night promises to be one you simply can’t afford to miss.

Among the Armagh legends appearing on the night will be Brian Canavan, one of the men credited with shaping the Armagh squad that eventually took Sam back to the orchard, and Ger Houlahan, a man who broke Tyrone hearts on a number of occasions during his inter county career with Armagh.

Facing up to the Armagh men will be two Tyrone stars never known for shirking a challenge.

Damian O’Hagan was a pivotal player for the Red Hand county during their march to the 1986 All-Ireland final and he was duly rewarded with an All Star. More recently he has guided Coalisland Fianna to a county title in 2010.

He’ll be joined by Stewartstown solicitor Feargal Logan, a man who is better known for his trojan midfield efforts with the Red Hands in the mid-1990s when he picked up two Ulster Senior titles.

They will be joined by local bookmaker Gregory Hughes and the compere for the night is Brackaville’s Sean Quinn.

Anyone who would like to put a question to the panel is invited to leave us a message on Facebook, via Twitter on @TyroneTimes and by email at sport@tyronetimes.co.uk.
