THERE was Mid-Ulster success at the National Coursing meeting in Clonmel as the Moneymore owned Broadwell Blonde won the Horse and Jockey Hotel Spirit of Mischief Stake.

The bitch owned by Tom Quinn and trained in Coalisland by Paddy Devlin had a half length to spare in the against Iron Devlin.

This year’s National Meeting was one of the biggest in years at the Tipperary venue with a 20 per cent jump in attendances and over 30,000 people passing through the gates over the 3 days.

Broadwell Blonde qualified for Clonmel having won her trial stake in East Donegal and she did all her connections proud in the final giving both Quinn and Devlin their first successes at the meeting.
