RYAN Farquhar took his tally of victories so far this season to 26 with his second successive five-timer at the H2 Engineering Bush road races on Saturday.

The KMR Kawasaki rider turned on the style to win the Superbike and Grand Final races plus the Supersport, Supertwin and Moto450 events to reign supreme at his home meeting.

Friday’s practice had been hit hard by heavy rain, but the organisers enjoyed better luck on Saturday, although the weather remained mixed.

Farquhar was made to work hard for his win in the opening Superbike race as he held off a late charge by Derek Sheils.

However, the Killyman rider was a commanding winner of the Grand Final on his 600cc Kawasaki, which he won by almost 16 seconds from local John Burrows.

Farquhar also won the Supersport race by 16 seconds from Sheils and McKnight, with Burrows sliding off unhurt on the final lap when a certain podium finish was within his grasp.

Farquhar and Hamilton completed a KMR Kawasaki one-two in the Supertwin race ahead of Burrows, with Cranston finishing sixth on one of Farquhar’s ER6 machines.

“It’s been another great day for me and the team and although conditions were again tricky, the club did a good job in getting every race run so to come away with five more wins is superb,” Farquhar said after the races.

Supertwins – 1 R Farquhar, 2 J Hamilton, 3 J Burrows, 4 M Sweeney, 5 S McKnight, 6 P Cranston. Fastest lap: Farquhar: 83.947mph
