RSD to give Wellington the boot?

The second round of the Danske Bank Schools Cup gets under way this Saturday and Dungannon Royal School are looking forward to a home tie against Wellington College.

Team skipper, Jacob McCammon is delighted with the draw.

“It’s not a bad draw, we played and beat Wellington College earlier in the season and we are hopeful of repeating that and getting our name in the hat for the third round. We will certainly be doing our best,” said the team captain.

So far, so good when the team captain is optimistic, but Coach Keith Patton knows that the side must step up to the mark this Saturday and all training this week is geared towards that.

The Schools Cup is the world’s second oldest rugby tournament and every schoolboy loves to be involved.

Let’s hope RSD gets the required result and, to that end, any support available would be appreciated on Saturday morning.

RSD panel: Jamie McNeill, Jonathan Black, Charlie Farrell, Jim Meng, Jonathan Patterson, Calum Bain, David Buckley, Michael Jones, David Leyburn, Jacob McCammon (c), Thomas Downing, Jack Milligan, John Buckley, Scott McLean, Matthew Montgomery, Stuart Moore, Robert McLean, Jonathan Wright, Andrew Mills, Nathan McCammon, Joshua McKee, Timmy Brownlow.
