Tyrone Milk Cup trials

Trials for NI Milk Cup get under way in the next few weeks, a great opportunity for U15 and U17 players to try out for a place in squads to compete against the cream of the crop of Youth Football.

Scouts from all the big name clubs are always in attendance during Milk Cup Week a on the look-out for fresh talent to take on trial.

Players must come within the appropriate age group, Juniors born on or after January 1, 1998 and Premier born on or after January 1, 1996.

Premier trials commence Sunday February 24 at Mid-Ulster Sports Arena, Cookstown and Junior trials at MUSA Wednesday March 6, 6,30-8pm.

Deadline for both registrations is Thursday 21st, 10pm. Log onto www.facebook.com/tyronemilkcup and send a private message with your name, date of birth and playing position and we will reply to confirm we have received all neccessary information.

Junior Tmanager Conor Marlin commented: ‘I am very much looking forward to starting the trial process. Last year we had around 90 players to assess, so I hope we get similar interest since all the boys have the best week of their lives.”

Premier manager Stephen Hunter echoed Conor’s sentiments and added: “This is my first year involved in the Milk Cup and, being Tyrone born and bred and a football fanatic, I am very proud and excited to have this opportunity to pick, train and coach a team in one the best tournaments around”.

Tyrone Milk Cup Association urges local youth clubs to encourage players to give trials a go, a chance to be a part of something very special.
