Pauline Campbell scoops top prize on weekend away

Sixteen Dungannon Golf Club ladies travelled to Fermanagh Lakes to enjoy the wonderful views from around the Lough Erne club for their Lady Captain’s ‘Weekend Away’.

The weather was bitterly cold with hailstone showers for good measure, even that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm and scoring was good, as was the craic and hospitality, this down to the Lady Captain and past Captain in compiling games, dingbats, and poems to entertain, goodies and wonderful prizes and to Ann Coulter for marking cards.

Back home, 30 braved the winter conditions to compete for Rosebowl, established in 1970. Vice-captain Karen Hetherington praised those who played and encouraged a good entry for Newell Store Open, Burton Cup and to read notices re McQueen Cup and Aughnacloy Putter evening. Rosebowl results:
