There’s more last night drama in store this week when the top title in the RTM Mortgage Services is scheduled to be won, but it’ll be no surprise if the fight for Division One crown goes to a sudden death play-off.

A shock loss for Gervins A at the hands of bottom team Mitchells B means the men from Coalisland and Max A go into the final fray equal on terms at the top of the table.

Ciaran Kelly, pictured left, and Darren Gribben both won a frame and lost one and the home pairing of Raymond Conway and Cathal Quinn crucially won the doubles decider.

Thus it will be a very nervous night for both Gervins and defending champions Max A as the frames go on at locations thirty miles apart. The target will be to win 5-0, which will ensure a title play-off at the very least!

Meantime, there are trophies to be collected for Max C and Mitchells INF as they booked their place in the final of the League Cup, the Keady men responding after John O’Reilly lost to Damien McBride and Francie Mallon was beaten by Brendan McLarnon to defeat McKees C in the semi-finals, while the Cookstown boys outpointed Gervins B without loss of a frame in the other last four confrontation.
