Bookmaker Gregory Hughes, who has shops in Dungannon and Coalisland, made the headlines in the racing press when he received £228,500 for a ‘pitch’ at York racecourse a few weeks back.

Having paid £225.000 for it in 2006, the profit wasn’t immense - but he bought it in the boom years and sold it in a time of austerity, so he was pretty pleased with himself.
