'Crisis' prediction as cold snap continues

ESSENTIAL services such as the delivery of home heating oil and foodstuffs to some parts of the Dungannon and South Tyrone area are facing a "crisis" as the cold weather continues to hit hard, it has been warned.
Some residents of the Bush area were left without water for more than three days last week, while elderly members of the community in rural parts of Coalisland and Dungannon have been unable to receive their regular home-help provision because of dangerous road conditions.
Local assembly member, Maurice Morrow (pictured), told the Tyrone Times he had been "inundated" with calls from frustrated residents in the Killyman, Ballygawley and Dungannon areas who have experienced difficulties associated with the sustained freezing temperatures.
