DUE to the increased popularity of the Tyrone Times website - and its Ex-Paddy forum in particular - we have received a number of requests from people who have moved away from the Dungannon and South Tyrone area, for help in contacting long-lost relatives and friends.
Only recently, as a result of contacting the newspaper through its online version, Maggie Hughes-McPherson from Lanarkshire in Scotland, successfully contacted one of her relations from the Coalisland area after numerous previous searches had proved fruitless.
Times readers who may know any of the following people can get in touch with the person requesting information through the website at www.tyronetimes.co.uk
Alternatively, readers can contact any of the paper's reporters by telephone on 028 8775 2801 or the editor by email at peter.bayne@jpress.co.uk

Campbell-Mallon, England:
"I am looking for any information that anyone can offer regarding my great grandparents James Campbell and Sara Mallon (born 1877), from Coalisland, Dungannon. I know nothing of James Campbell's parents; Sara Mallon's parents were Bernard Mallon and Sara McRory/McCrory.
James and Sara moved to Coatbridge, Scotland, about 1900 and had the following children, James, Alice, Charles and Bernard.
"I hope someone can help me, Vez Campbell."

Micheal Murphy, Ballygawley:
"I am looking to trace Michael Murphy from Ballygawley, Co Tyrone. I believe him to be 50 -60years old and still living in the area. I also believe he never married.
"Any help that anyone can provide would be smashing, Eithne Cullen, Kilkenny."

John Rutherford, Dungannon:
"I am looking to find information about John Rutherford of 19 Barrack St. in 1858, who was married to Rosanne; had a son Thomas who was born in 1807. Thomas became a surgeon in Derrycrummy.
"Thomas had two sons - David John Rutherford, who became an MD and William, who became a JP.
"I am also looking for Thomas Lilburn(e) of 34 Barrack St. who had an office as an architect. Later on, my great grandfather David John Rutherford MD married Julia Lilburn.
"The Lilburns have connections to the Browns and to Miss Alice Brown MBE who died a few years ago. The Browns were also connected to the Olivers who came to Pittsburgh in the USA in steel mills. I would appreciate any information and thank you in advance.
Snowed in, Helen Wilcox, Ontario."
