CALEDON Mother's Union recently raised £1,670 to support local mental health charity, CAUSE.
CAUSE supports carers and families of people with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder and severe depression.
Speaking after the recent cheque presentation at St. Johns Parish Church Hall in Caledon Arlene Wilson, the Charity's Carer Advocate for the Armagh and Dungannon area, said:
"It is a tremendous boost to the Charity's work in the local area to receive such a fantastic donation, and I would like to thank each and every one of Caledon Mother's Union for their support and generosity.
CAUSE relies on voluntary donations and a range of fundraising events to enable the charity to expand our vital work, so this money is greatly appreciated".
The local monthly CAUSE support group meets on the last Monday of each month in the Craft Room, Beacon Centre, 12 Ballygawley Road, Dungannon, commencing at 7.30pm.
Further information on the work of CAUSE in the Southern Trust area is available by contacting Arlene on 07730 623867.
