SOUTH Tyrone was basking in a mini-heatwave that swept over the whole country throughout the week and the good news is that more sunshine is on the way.
Temperatures hit the low twenties throughout the week until showers and cloud resumed on Friday and Saturday.
However, Sunday saw the return of the sunshine to Mid-Ulster and Monday showed a high of 23C in Dungannon. The highest temperature in Britain was in London where it was a scorching 25C.
And the outlook for the remainder of the week is good with temperatures from Tuesday to Thursday above 17C with loads of sunshine. This is way above the monthly average for Northern Ireland which sits at 13C.
But our hope that summer has arrived early will be washed away on Friday when showers will interrupt the sun.
The bad weather will continue into next week as a band of low pressure becomes anchored over Ireland but it will feel very warm when the rain clears and the sun breaks through the clouds.
So get out this week and enjoy the good weather while we have it!

Send your summer pictures to the TYRONE TIMES an dthey could appear in the paper over the coming weeks!
