A COOKSTOWN firm has landed a major contract to supply products for the next football World Cup.
FSL Electronics - which is based at Sandholes Road - will make digital scoreboards for a stadium hosting games during the tournament in South Africa in 2010.
The company, which is supported by Invest NI, outlined details of the deal as it announced £750,000 of export sales last year.
FSL has made a scoreboard for the new 44,000-seater Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit in north east South Africa
The company has previously supplied scoreboards for the GAA and Blackburn Rovers FC.
Brian Dolaghan, Invest NI's Director of Engineering and Business Services, said FSL was an example for others to follow.
"Local companies can reach their full capability and help strengthen the Northern Ireland economy by following the example of entrepreneurial firms such as FSL, consistently innovating and seeking to develop sales in new markets," he said.
