Irish eyes will be smiling in Cookstown this Monday when revellers take to the streets for the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, there will be fun for all the family with on-street entertainment and a wide range of other exciting events.
The speeches will begin at 2pm at Holy Trinity College and the parade will wind its way south towards Gortalowry, before turning at McDonald’s to head northwards.
The parade will pass up the main street which will be lined with spectators, before turning at Orritor Street and heading back.
There will be a funfair behind McNicholl’s as well as a bouncy castle for the younger revellers.
Face painting, on-street entertainers, a brass band and a disco will also form part of this year’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
The Cookstown event will be one of many held across Northern Ireland this Monday. Belfast, Newry, Armagh and Downpatrick will all join in the St Patrick’s day revelry next week.
