Aughnacloy man contesting assault on mother

An Aughnacloy man has been remanded on bail accused of assaulting his mother.

Barry Black, 22, from Dungannon Street, is contesting charges of assaulting a female and damaging a wing mirror relating to the alleged incident on December 9 past.

A prosecutor told Dungannon Court police were called to a report of a domestic incident at Lisnahull Terrace.

Police were told Black had threatened his mother and damaged a wing mirror on her partner’s car.

Despite pursuing Black on foot, police were not able to locate him until February 5. The case was adjourned until March 18.
