One of Mid Ulster’s most loved restaurants, perched on an idyllic stretch of the Ballinderry River, has gone on the market.
Otter Lodge in Cookstown has been one of the area’s most popular venues since it began trading 29 years ago.
According to Burns and Co the “once in a lifetime” opportunity to own the 1.75 acre site has come around due to the impending retirement of present owners, Harold and Heather Moffett.
Listed on the company’s commercial property site, asking offers are in the region of half a million pounds.
“Otter Lodge is firmly established as one of Mid Ulster’s most popular wine bar and restaurant venues with an additional first floor function room and has built up an excellent reputation.
“The overall site enjoys substantial customer car parking together with ample additional space to allow for further development.”
The site includes around 200m frontage directly onto the Ballinderry River below Kingsbridge “with planning permission available for further development” as well as excellent access thanks to the nearby A29 and Dungannon Road roundabout.
“The licenced wine bar and restaurant/function facilities also includes family living accommodation which can be further developed and included to give additional business capacity.”
Offers will be received up to 12 noon on Wednesday, November 9.
