Invest Northern Ireland is calling on Tyrone entrepreneurs with an innovative, export-focused business idea to propel themselves forward and sign up for the Propel Programme information seminar on Wednesday 10th September at the Omagh Enterprise Centre.
The seminar will give guests detailed information and inspirational insight from people that have benefited from this programme, which helps turn local businesses into the global success stories.
The Invest NI Propel Programme is aimed at high calibre entrepreneurs who have the passion and energy to succeed on an international stage. Applicants must be in the advanced stages of planning, capable of commercialisation within the next 6-9months and show significant global growth potential.
The programme is both exciting and challenging for participants. With successful applicants receiving extensive one-to-one mentorship from experienced international entrepreneurs. The support and advice on offer from a world-class delivery team, blended alongside a variety of business development workshops will focus on fast tracking the business through the planning stages and get the business ready for investment.
Tyrone business woman Helen McCrumlish is one local entrepreneur currently benefiting from the programme. Since being accepted onto Propel in 2013/14, Helen has been helped to build her idea into a market ready business, Fabb Nails.
At the Omagh Enterprise Centre seminar, previous Propel participant, Colleen Harte will discuss her experience of the programme and answer any questions from attendees regarding the application process and, support offered.
Founder of ‘Lucy Annabella Organics’, a beauty brand that produces ‘chemically clean’ cosmetics suitable for various skin types, Colleen said,
“The Invest NI Propel Programme helped me to define the ‘Lucy Annabella Organics’ business structure and build a clear domestic and export sales strategy. The ‘Hub’ shared working space in Belfast is particularly beneficial in terms of creating new ideas and analysing new markets.
“For me the highlight of the Propel Programme was the workshops and expert mentoring. Both have played a vital role in building my business and have provided me with the tools and knowledge on how to become a successful international brand,” Colleen added.
Niall Casey, Invest NI’s Director of Skills and Strategy says: “The Propel Programme provides a dynamic culture and environment for innovative, enthusiastic individuals who have an export focused service or product that can be commercialised within 6-9 months. The programme has excellent credentials with over 80 new local companies accessing over £8m of investment and creating over 220 jobs.
“The Propel Programme attracts a diverse range of businesses each year – from consumer focused products to business solutions software- and we wish to continue recruiting such high calibre entrepreneurs to build on the programme’s success,” continued Mr Casey.
If you think your business meets the criteria and you wish to follow in the footsteps of other Tyrone entrepreneurs the Propel seminar will take place at the Omagh Enterprise Centre from 8.30am – 10.30am.
