A beautiful Christmas celebration of music and liturgy is taking place in Dungannon next weekend.

St Patrick’s Church, Dungannon will be the venue for Candlelight Christmas in association with Newell Stores, which takes place on Sunday December 21, featuring a host of acclaimed musical performers.

Alongside multi-platinum recording artist and singer-songwriter Liam Lawton on the night will be local star of stage and screen Fra Fee, who had great success with his role in Oscar winning film Les Miserables and local performer Karl McGuckin, fresh from a critically acclaimed premiere of Josef Locke.

If that’s not enough to make you want to come along, the Musical Director for the night is the acclaimed Wilson Shields who will conduct a full band as well excellent performances from both Edendork St Malachy’s Youth Choir alongside guest artists Cathy McLernon and renowned Soprano Gemma Prince.

It promises to be a night of festive celebration of liturgical song and music in the beautiful candlelit surroundings of St Patrick’s Dungannon, certainly an evening not to be missed.

All proceeds from the events are in aid of parish funds with donations to School Aid Romania.
