A Dungannon based cancer charity has been praised during a special conference at the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Sinn Fein MLA Bronwyn McGahan paid tribute to Cancer Choices, which runs a dedicated holistic healing centre in Dun Ard House in the town,

“Cancer Choices is a charity that spreads hope to people suffering from cancer by offering that support with experts on hand to deal with any situation that arises”, she said.

“I particularly want to pay tribute to the staff who volunteer their time and experience to help others. Most if not all of these volunteers have direct experience of cancer and how it can impact upon the lives of others.

“As one in three people will develop some sort of cancer in their lifetime it is important that we all listen and learn from charities like Cancer Choices and get behind them in providing a much needed service to the community.”
