Mid Ulster MP, Francie Molloy, has urged the Coalisland community to get behind a campaign to increase the number of nursery places at Primate Dixon Primary School in the town.
A development proposal to create an additional nursery unit at the school - which is highly in demand for places - is currently out for public consultation.
Mr Molloy said: “I believe there is a lot of support in the community for the additional nursery places to be granted to Primate Dixon however we need to turn that support into action and respond to the consultation.
“This is an excellent school with first class facilities and there is no doubt it would benefit the entire community if the school was successful with the development proposal.”
The school also appealed through the Parish Bulletin, for support in their efforts.
