Laukinaitis Daivaras, 29, from Stewart Avenue, stands accused of the offence on August 23.

A constable from the PSNI told the court that he believed that he could connect the accused to the charges before the court.

The defendant is not permitted to contact the injured party, partake of alcohol or enter licenced premises.

He must also submit to a police breath test.
