Cookstown man who admits arson too ill to attend court

A case of arson which was due for sentencing has been unable to proceed at East Tyrone Magistrates Court.

On Friday it was revealed that the defendant Ryan Larmour is unwell.

Larmour, 20 from Tynure, Cookstown had previously admitted damaging a generator room by fire during an incident on April 21 last year [2015].

Pre-sentence reports were ordered and prepared but a defence barrister informed the court his client is unwell and has been admitted into hospital.

District Judge John Meehan agreed to adjourn the case for an update on Larmour’s health on April 15.

The court was advised full payment has sine been made for the damage caused.
